An example of our plastic moulded products

Plastic Moulding & Fabrication

Our extensive plastic moulding shop has a good range of machinery ranging from small manual moulding machines up to large fully PLC controlled 150 tonne machines capable of manufacturing large complex items up to a weight of around 180 grams. This gives us the ability to manufacture a huge range of plastic parts and sub assemblies quickly and economically. Other benefits we can offer are:

  • Any shape any colour
  • Short - long runs
  • Auto colour control
  • 24 hour running
  • Short lead times
  • Assembly & packing undertaken

Injection Moulding

Injection Moulding is the primary process for manufacturing low to high-volume plastic parts. Injection Moulding takes plastic in the form or pellets or granules and heats the material until it melts. The material is then forced into a mould, where it is allowed to cool and harden into the desired shape. The mould is then opened, and the part is removed or "ejected", at which time the cycle is repeated. While the tooling can be expensive, the piece part cost is very low relative to other manufacturing processes.

Sub Assembly

We have a fully equipped assembly unit were a number of operations can be carried out after the moulding process. These include:
  • Close tolerance machining
  • Threaded Holes
  • Full assembly of the product, which may include non moulded components.

Materials

We mould most materials, the most common being, ABS, Acetal, Polypropylene, Nylon, Filled Nylons, Polycarbonate, Acetal, Acrylic

Assembly

For products that require assembly we are able to carry out this operation in our assembly facility.
